Would you let a racketeer tell you
how to run your business?
If you sell cigarettes the answer is YES!
In 2006 a Federal Judge ruled that the tobacco companies had violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (commonly referred to as RICO Act or RICO) because of the way they market tobacco products. These same racketeers are still dictating the terms for how tobacco products are displayed, advertised and marketed in stores today. Responsible tobacco marketing requires more than refusing to sell tobacco products to minors.
